amazing movie! i put my only son on a plane this past tuesday to go back to bayji, iraq after being home on 2 weeks leave. it was harder than when i sent him the first time. i thought i had a good idea of what he does over there. i was wrong, after watching this movie i can now understand that i will never know. from the day he left i kept telling him i wanted to come over there and experience the same things he was, like jake did. to understand it better. when i saw this movie was coming out, i actually said if he can do it why can’t i? jake isn’t rich or famous, a hollywood star or a country singer, just a brother who wanted to see what his siblings were doing. after seeing this movie i would still go in a heart beat, but now i know why my son says, mom you can’t come over here. if jake goes back i would be honored to go with his crew. i would be willing to do what ever it takes to earn my keep. so jake if you read this please keep me in mind. it doesn’t seem as far fetched as it did yesterday! if you, kid rock, , trace atkins and countless others can go over there why can’t i???? thanks for the forum to express my thoughts. god bless all our soldiers and there families.
this was a great movie and it makes me proud to be leaving for bct on feb. 2, 2010 i cant wait to be part of the greatest team in the us thanks for letting everyone get a look at what is going on over there and what they do thanks again from a future us army soldier
